Add it to Claude

1. Open Claude → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
2. Paste the server URL above and continue.
3. You'll be sent here to sign in and approve the connection (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE — no password is ever shared with the AI).
4. Back in Claude, your AI first walks you through turning model training OFF, then confirms it. The compliance tools unlock only after you confirm.
5. Ask a question. Start with “list my documents” to see what you're covered by.

Add it to ChatGPT

1. You need a ChatGPT plan that allows custom connectors (Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise).
2. Turn on Developer Mode first: ChatGPT Settings → Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode.
3. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, hit +, name it ComplianceGPS, and paste the server URL above.
4. Approvethe connection — you'll be sent here to sign in (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE — no password is ever shared with the AI).
5. ChatGPT walks you through turning model training OFF (Settings → Data Controls), then confirms it. The compliance tools unlock only after you confirm.
6. Type @ComplianceGPS in the message box and ask your question.

Other MCP clients

Gemini, Cursor, and other MCP clients use the same URL. The server implements standard OAuth 2.1 discovery ( /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and dynamic client registration), so any compliant client can register itself and connect.

What it can and can't do

• Reads only your entitled documents — nothing crosses a tenant boundary.
• Every answer cites its source (document + section). No citation, no claim.
• It answers questions — there is no bulk export of the corpus.
• Answers are information, not legal advice — always defer to your broker, counsel, or the issuing authority for a final ruling.

Good to know

• A connector keeps the account it was approved with. Its identity is set by the ComplianceGPS account you sign into during the connection approval — it does not change when you log in or out of ComplianceGPS in your browser. Unsure which account a connector holds? Ask it to run whoami. To switch accounts, disconnect the connector and reconnect while signed into the right account.
• One ComplianceGPS connector per conversation.If you keep connectors for two accounts (say, a work account and a test account), enable only one of them in a given chat — with both on, your AI may mix answers from the two accounts' different document sets.
